Hi,

I worked on a project where I used the easywebcam code. It works great on a USB webcam and also on a laptop with an integrated camera with Windows 7. I installed the application on an Acer tablet (Windows 7) with dual camera (front\rear) and although it
prompts me to select the camera, when I select it, i get the error "An error occurred while capturing the video image. The video capture will now be terminated. Object Reference not set to an instance ob an object".

I tested the camera with Windows Live Movie Maker and the camera starts fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi friends!

I'm working with WebCam Library to capture an image. My UI also contains a textBox which allows user to name the image file in order to save the file.

I noticed cursor inside textbox is not responding accurately, since not all keydowns are registered while WebCam is started. I wouldn't like to stop the camera in order to allow user to keep watching what webcam registers while user is typing the image
name.

I checked that if webCam stops, cursor in textbox is behaving as expected. Any suggestion will be welcome, thank you in advance!

This seems to be using the clipboard for every frame, meaning if the user copies and pastes anything their data is lost. I can't see where this is in the source code, so for now I will have to look for an alternative. If anyone has any advice
on alternative methods please let me know.

How can I detect an error? I see a message box pops up but can't find that code generating it. Is there an error event of some such?

I tried the downloadable C# project and that error shows whenever I try starting the webcam. I don't know what's wrong, but I doubt that there's a camera issue because I tried other approach for using webcam and it works. I wonder why this does not.

If you have a camera with better resolution, perhaps. I´m doing an experiment with that. I will expose the results.

It's been great so far except for some reason I can't figure out how you to stop the camera? I've tried a few things but no matter what the Camera isn't released back to the OS so that other applications can use it. I've noticed that the "CameraMethods" object has a stop Camera function but i still can't get that to work.

Any help would would be greatly appreciated, thanks

The StopCamera method works fine, it just won't work inside the event launcher, i found a way around it
